Stainless steel is one of the most corrosion resistant of all metals; hence there is usually a corrosion hazard for any metal used with it. The risk of galvanising corroding when used with stainless depends on a number of factors.

For instance, hot dipped galvanised has better corrosion resistance than electro polished galvanised. However, in marine, salty or moist areas, even hot dipped galvanised used with stainless steel will cause corrosion.
